With the world transitioning into a global knowledge community, based on the principles of the knowledge economy, the need for lifelong learning is now more relevant than ever. While learning is unavoidable and happens all the time, lifelong learning is about creating and maintaining a positive attitude to learning both for personal and professional development. Lifelong learners are motivated to learn because they want to stay relevant to the changing knowledge and skills systems around them. Localism seeks to create personalized learning opportunities for local community members, civil society members, and graduate students who are interested in upgrading their knowledge and skills. This support under Localism Academy could be various forms; internships, short-term offline and online courses, mentorships, and fellowships.
